Can the Master Cleanse Help You Sleep Better?

One of the problems that is often at the root of our being unable to sleep well at night is because our body is out of balance. Whenever we are first born, our bodies are in perfect balance and that is why very few babies have a difficult time sleeping whenever it is needed. As a result of the world that we live in and the choices that we may make along the way, our bodies tend to get out of balance eventually. This can cause a lot of different problems, one of them being a difficulty with sleeping.

Since a difficulty with sleeping can be caused as a result of our bodies being out of balance, it would stand to reason that bringing them back into balance is the best way to take care of the situation. Although there are many different ways to restore balance to the body, one of the most effective and most popular is the master cleanse. This cleanse, sometimes known as the lemonade diet has been used by many people in order to lose weight, get rid of addictions to foods and to restore an overall sense of well-being.

The master cleanse is relatively easy to do but you’re going to need to be determined to stick to it for at least 10 days. It is a liquid diet that consist of a drink which is made of water, fresh squeezed lemon juice, organic maple syrup and cayenne pepper. You will also need to drink a cop of laxative tea in the evening and take a saltwater flush in the morning.

Many people that have done the master and claim to feel much better after just a few days on the program. Their sense of well-being returns and a lot of the stress that they deal with on a regular basis seems to fade away. Best of all, many of them experienced an increased ability to be able to sleep through the night. If you are having a difficult time with insomnia, this may be just the natural cure that you have been looking for.

As I stated earlier, there are many different ways to bring the body back into balance. By going with the master cleanse, however, you are helping to restore that balance rather quickly and without too much difficulty. If you have the drive and determination to stick with it, it really can change your life.

Relax Your Mind and Sleep

How often do you have a hard time sleeping because you tend to have too much on your mind?

It is not always stressful situations that can cause a lack of sleep but it is really just having a busy mind that does not allow us to relax enough to drift off. If you really want to get a good nights sleep and overcome these insomnia like symptoms, you need to be able to relax your mind. Once you’re able to learn how to do this, you would be surprised with how quickly you are able to fall asleep and the quality of sleep that you’ll get.

Relaxing your mind is not something that you’re going to learn to be able to do overnight. As a matter of fact, it often takes quite a few days or perhaps even a week before you become proficient at doing it. While you’re learning how to do it, however, you can certainly reap the rewards of a more relaxed mind as a result. Here are several different things that you can do.

First of all, you need to make sure that you are not filling your mind with anything that will cause it to stress or to overwork. This includes engaging in any kind of serious conversation within a half-hour of that time or watching television shows and movies that have you on the edge of your seat. Before you go to bed, take a little bit of time to sit in a quiet area, meditate and relax. Think positive thoughts and allow your mind to drift to something that is going to make you feel good. If you have a difficult time doing this, try doing it with a little smile on your face. Believe it or not, this really helps.

You can also do other things to help relax your mind, such as taking warm baths, listening to some soothing music or reading poetry. The most important thing is that you try and forget all of the troubles that are on your mind from the day and don’t dwell on anything that will keep you up at night. All of your troubles are going to be there the next day, there is no need for you to worry about them at night so relax and enjoy some sleep.

Natural Sleep Aids Using Essential Oils

Having trouble sleeping? Very often, simple physical reasons can be the cause of insomnia such as lack of exercise, unsuitable diet or consuming stimulating drinks such as tea, coffee or cola late in the day. An uncomfortable mattress could also be the problem.

Over the counter sleep aids can become addictive and have other side effects. There are many natural sleep aids and healthy remedies to help you sleep.

Using essential oils is one of the simplest and safest methods of inducing sleep and has none of the possible side effects of sleeping tablets. Aromatic baths or even a few drops of oil on a pillow can be most effective. Try these essential oils the next time you have trouble sleeping:

Lavender, Chamomile, and Neroli are three of the most helpful essential oils when it comes to insomnia. They each have a profound effect on the mind and emotions and aid in calming, soothing balancing and relieving anxiety. If needed for a period of over one week, it is good to vary the oils.

Benzoin is a sedative oil that is very helpful where external worries seem to be the root of sleeplessness.

Bergamot is the essential oil of choice where insomnia is linked with depression.

Clary Sage is a very strong relaxant.

Marjoram, Sandalwood, Juniper and Ylang Ylang are other really good choices.

Any of the above- mentioned essential oils can be mixed together, so feel free to experiment until you find the ones that are most pleasing and effective for you.

Six drops of any of these oils added to a warm (not too hot) bath will scent the water and help you to relax. Furthermore, putting 3 drops on a tissue and placing it in between the pillow and pillowcase has also proven to be effective.

Yoga, meditation, and deep breathing techniques are often helpful. You may even want to try an aromatherapy massage. Therapeutic touch combined with the use of calming essential oils usually results in deep relaxation and in turn aids those who suffer from lack of sleep.
